Medusa

She lay on the rocky shore near the cave mouth, her flesh smooth and bright as amber under the morning sun, her coiled hair sleeping about her still face. She smiled under the caressing sun and her breath sighed softly with the susurration of ocean swell.
 secretly he watched.
He watched her lit by moonlight, hair and limbs quicksilver as she danced in the wind.

He looked only once at her two sisters sitting hunched over the fire by the cave mouth.
He wanted her. He would have her. He came to her alone early in the morning as she sat admiring herself in a small mirror. He stood behind her, darkening the mirror. He, even he, was afraid but he was determined. He saw the dark and strange as beautiful. Writing serpents he was quite at home with, his realm is filled with writing poisonous many armed monsters. So they did not disgust him. her great ivory tusks were familiar too.
He wrestled her to the ground, dripping and slimy on the rocks near Hades door.
