 Little Green Men This expression came out of SETI in 1967 when SETI first recorded radio pulsars and did not know what they were - someone nicknamed them LGM for Little Green Men but some alien spotters took it literally as it was the term used by the American press in articles about UFOs. There is some debate about whether the aliens doing the abducting were grey or green - general consensus was that the 'greys' are the 'race' doing the experiments - with or without the knowledge of the American government. Little Green Men are generally believed to be harmless, comical etc. - unlike the Grays.  |
